August Gatherings

In August, we had Lucia, Arthur, Chen-Yu, and Maria leading the Bible studies. we studied Mathew 18-20. Some memorable scriptures:

• do not despise one of these little ones, for I say to you that their angels in heaven always look upon the face of my heavenly Father.
• if two of you agree on earth about anything for which they are to pray, it shall be granted to them by my heavenly Father.
• forgive... not seven times but seventy-seven times
• Let the children come to me, and do not prevent them; for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.
• For human beings this is impossible, but for God all things are possible.
• And everyone who has given up houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or children or lands for the sake of my name will receive a hundred times more, and will inherit eternal life.
• whoever wishes to be great among you shall be your servant.
• Lord, let our eyes be opened.

7/8/05 - New friends, new home

Lucia lead our study of Matthew 15:21-39. We are reminded to humble ourselves to God.

We are happy to have 2 friends joining us. Wendy, a protestant friend that Mike and Corrina brought, and Mindy, Maria's visiting best friend from Seattle. Gratefully, Wendar & Tony moved to a new home, providing larger space for Bible study, and additional room for kids. Praise the Lord!

Cornerstone

The Bible says Jesus is the "stone which the builders rejected has become the cornerstone," the Bible also says the "wise builder builds his house on a rock instead of on sand."

Today, we made "Cornerstone" the name of our Bible Study, since Jesus is our Rock and our salvation, and we wish this Bible study would continue to be built firmly on Christ Jesus, our Cornerstone.
