12/9/05 - Cornerstone Christmas Party

Praise and thank God we had a very joyful Christmas party to honor our Lord's birthday! Let us especially pray for those who are sick and have difficulties in their lives; and pray those who are traveling in this season, may God's blessing be with them to heal them and keep them in His peace and joy. May God use us as His instrument to pass on His love to those in need and those around us.


Thanks to everyone for the delicious food and your participation in the gift exchange and the games. Thanks to Ming Shu and the Jr. Legion of Mary team for their support, and thanks to Arthur for sharing pictures from the Isreal trip. Welcome Madeleine and her family, Vincent's wife Amy, and Angela's husband Cory to join us.

11/4/05 - New friend Vicky

Praise and thank God for another wonderful gathering. Mike and Corinna brought Vicky to join us. Hope she can come and join us regularly in the future.

10/28/05 - Legion of Mary support

Praise and thank God for leading Cornerstone! For a couple of months now, we have the Jr. Legion of Mary team to take care of the kids and pray Rosary with them, and we have more people with young kids joining us! Wow, what a wonderful blessing from our Lord Jesus!

9/17/05 - Iron Chef (Western Region gathering)

We joined the rest of the Western region groups on 9/17. Each group presented a dish for competition, and our team presented a beautiful dish. This is also the gathering where we met Vincent's family and Sophie's family.

9/4/05 - Dinner & social gathering

We decided to take a step back during the long weekend and have a family social gathering. We went to the local Hometown Buffet for dinner after church on Sunday, and then went to Wendar & Tony's for desert, chat, and some family fun.

Thanks to Mike for the creative Q&A game, we now know Lucia's age, Mike's weight, and "why Lee is so skinny". Everyone participated in the nerve-racking block game, can anyone remember who crashed the building? Check out the pictures... :)

August Gatherings

In August, we had Lucia, Arthur, Chen-Yu, and Maria leading the Bible studies. we studied Mathew 18-20. Some memorable scriptures:

• do not despise one of these little ones, for I say to you that their angels in heaven always look upon the face of my heavenly Father.
• if two of you agree on earth about anything for which they are to pray, it shall be granted to them by my heavenly Father.
• forgive... not seven times but seventy-seven times
• Let the children come to me, and do not prevent them; for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.
• For human beings this is impossible, but for God all things are possible.
• And everyone who has given up houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or children or lands for the sake of my name will receive a hundred times more, and will inherit eternal life.
• whoever wishes to be great among you shall be your servant.
• Lord, let our eyes be opened.

7/8/05 - New friends, new home

Lucia lead our study of Matthew 15:21-39. We are reminded to humble ourselves to God.

We are happy to have 2 friends joining us. Wendy, a protestant friend that Mike and Corrina brought, and Mindy, Maria's visiting best friend from Seattle. Gratefully, Wendar & Tony moved to a new home, providing larger space for Bible study, and additional room for kids. Praise the Lord!

Cornerstone

The Bible says Jesus is the "stone which the builders rejected has become the cornerstone," the Bible also says the "wise builder builds his house on a rock instead of on sand."

Today, we made "Cornerstone" the name of our Bible Study, since Jesus is our Rock and our salvation, and we wish this Bible study would continue to be built firmly on Christ Jesus, our Cornerstone.
